This site affirms the central role of imagination, creativity and the arts in culture and society; the power of the arts to enliven and transform education and schools; and collective action through partnerships as the means to place the arts at the center of learning. National Art Education Association (NAEA) NAEA is the most extensive professional resource for art educators at every level. Their goal is to promote art education through professional development, service, advancement of knowledge and leadership. They hold annual national conventions, affording art educators the opportunity to take part in workshops, network with other art educators and visit booths set up by vendors offering products relating to art education. Periodicals they offer are Art Education Magazine, Studies in Art Education and NAEA News. They also publish many books on a wide variety of topics of concern to the art educator. National Arts & Learning Collaborative (NALC) The NALC develops, implements and evaluates model programs that incorporate the arts into the core curriculum of urban schools, and forges networks to support those activities among schools, arts/cultural organizations, businesses and institutions of higher education.
